The Texas Cooperative Extension - Harris County is a member of the Texas A&M University System and offers practical, how-to education based on university research.  A wide range of subjects is covered: from landscaping your yard to managing your family's money, from developing leadership in young people to being a wise consumer.  Programs are offered in Family & Consumer Science; Horticulture; 4-H and Youth Development; Nutrition, Diet, & Health; Fire Ants & Other Insects; Agriculture & Natural Resources; and Community & Economic Development.
