Danny Jackson Family Dog Park

This park opened October 12, 2005. It is the second dog park to be established in Precinct 3. The first was Millie Bush Dog Park in George Bush Park. The Jackson Family Dog Park is on Westpark Drive, immediately east of Loop 610. Access to the large parking lot is from Loop Central. The park and the parking lot are on Metro and Center Point Right of Way and Commissioner Radack, at the park opening, publicly thanked both companies for their help and cooperation in making it possible. The park is named for Danny Jackson, his wife Gail, son Houston and daughter Whitney.

Jackson is a member of the County Hospital Board of Managers and a former member of the West University Place City Council. All four Jackson’s attended the park opening with their two dogs, Dooley and Toby.
