Work was completed on H-E-B Kid Fit Park in the summer of 2007.
The park is a joint venture between Precinct Three Commissioner Steve Radack
and the H-E-B Tournament of Champions - an annual charity event conducted
by the grocery store chain.
H-E-B donated the money to equip the park, which was then designed
and built as another feature at Nottingham Park by Precinct Three park employees.
With outdoor exercise equipment sized for both adults and children,
H-E-B Kid Fit Park is the first in a series of public-private park
ventures started by Commissioner Radack to encourage family fitness
and to fight childhood obesity. Other Precinct Three Kid Fit parks are in development.
