Congressman Bill Archer Park, a 926 acre facility north of Interstate 10 on Highway 6 North, officially opened May 2, 2007. The facility features the third dog park to be opened in Precinct Three in recent years. The dog park has 17 acres for dogs of all sizes to run off leash - large dog area is 14 acres, small dog area is 3 acres. There are also shade trees for the dogs and their owners and showers for the dogs. Park patrons have access to 238 parking spaces.

The entire park is named for former Texas Congressman Bill Archer, who was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1970. He served in Congress 30 years and was chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee when he retired in 2000.

Congressman Bill Archer Park is opposite of Bear Creek Pioneers Park, another large Precinct Three park facility on Highway 6 North.
